Rockford completed the projects listed below over the span of 2002-2005.
Concord Tank Farm and Terminal Modification Project: This project required construction of new retaining walls, while keeping the facility operational. Hand-excavation was required under extremely hazardous conditions. This project was an upgrade to Kinder Morgan's terminal facility in Concord, California. The terminal provides fuel (jet fuel, gasoline, and diesel) to Sacramento, California; Reno, Nevada; Travis Air Force Base; Sacramento Airport; and the air bases in Fallon, Nevada.
The terminal needed to be upgraded to meet the requirements of a new larger capacity pipeline being installed from the terminal to Sacramento, California. Services included: installing launcher and receiver for a 20-inch diameter pipeline, new lines for the storage tanks, new surge header, tank, removing existing containment dike, installing a new concrete/cinder block dike, new pumps and prover, and finally new lines and tie-in. This was done without interrupting the functionality of the terminal. The facility was completed in December 2004.
